Let's go away for a while...
Dear friends,
I'm taking a temporary leave of absence from the internet. No journals, no icq, no checking sites for album release dates. Lately I've found my time being sucked up by over-usage of these damn computers. Productivity in my music and my life has been stunted, thanks to pure laziness and pure addiction on my part.
It's no secret to any of you that I suffer from depression, but it's also no secret that I've done next to nothing to remedy this. I don't want to back on any drugs, because those only made me numb, and cold. There must be other methods. Perhaps by cutting out some of my addictions, I can start my self on the road to...well, I can't really say happiness, so I'll say "recovery".
It's also no secret to any of you that I've been struggling to finish a solo album for at least two years. With this new free time on my hands, I hope to write and record enough songs to finally wrap it up and move on to more musical conquests, namely promoting myself and doing gigs. My goal is this: I WILL NOT USE A COMPUTER FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN RECORDING UNTIL I COMPLETELY FINISH MY SOLO ALBUM. Upon it's completion, I'll be back online to let you all know about it, and tell you all my computer-less adventures. ;)
I'm giving myself until Sunday to wrap up any loose ends on the `net, and then it's bye-bye for a little while. I'll miss chatting with all of you...I'll miss reading all of your posts...all of you have, in your own ways, helped me get through rough spots in my life, and I thank you more than you'll ever know.
This is going to be a rough time itself; fighting the temptation to leap at a computer and start pointing and clicking rabidly, like a crazed monkey...so wish me luck, all! I'll talk to you soon. :)
