grad school
the classes don't seem to be too hard. just a lot of reading. i need to 'buckle down', as they say. it's hard when it's summer time and all your friends can and do go out. i'm going to have to take it easy.
it's scary, too, because this is it. in a year, i'm going to be in the field. just internships, but i'll have all my in-class education. then i'll be required to be an adult and know what i'm doing in my job. and that's it. that's my job. not too many other choices.
we learned how to do simple arm range of motion assessments on wednesday. i didn't get much practice and we're all small girls. so when i got a chance to do it on a guy who is more likely the size of future patients, not only was it a lot harder, but i couldn't find a position to hold him that wasn't pinching his arm. it was fairly frustrating. you would never think something as easy as ROM assessment would have so many things to watch out for.
it's just nerves. i'll get over it. i'll accept and handle it and all will be fine.
