movin' on up
this week i train for 2 days as a server's assistant and then have my first full-on shift on saturday. my first real SA shift is on a busy night. that's a little scary. i better have my shit down or all the servers will hate me. but here's why i'm excited about it:
- no more wearing my nice clothes to work so i have to wash them until they fall apart
- more money, honey!
- i get to hang out in the kitchen most of the night where all the fun is
- i'm that much closer to serving
it's more physical work, but that's good. maybe i can get buff carrying those huge-ass trays and bussing tables. hopefully it all works out the way it does in my head. i'm always nervous starting new responsibilities and feel like a complete failure when i keep fucking up. but everyone there seems to think i'll do alright.
