Hey, guess what? Lance Bass came out to Britney before he told the rest of the world. And she hasn't talked to him since then.

Seriously, what's her problem? Her good friend sits her down in her hotel room, tells her he's gay, and she doesn't speak to him ever again. And they live right next door to each other.

Bummer.

He's better off. She's a trainwreck. If she's a homophobe there's going to be a lot of disappointed people out there. But there could be other reasons they don't talk. I mean, BritBrit is busy shaving her head and going to court. That takes up a lot of time.

So? I suppose it's a stupid reason to stop talking to someone, if that's the reason, but somehow I'm less indignant about this than your post seems to be.

Oh, it's hardly indignant; I don't care. But you know me well enough by now to know that I love shattering people's illusions and deeply-held myths. The idea of Britney as some kind of gay goddess, as perpetuated by Chris Crocker and a lot of overwraught histrionic gay boys, is worth dashing.

I actually expected a lot of rationalizing comments about how Britney could NEVER be homophobic and I was just a HATER who's jealous of her greatness. Those never materialized.

And I am disappointed.
