Again, this focuses on race and how the Republican Party has pretty much ignored the black vote. Which is, unfortunately, true (although there were several high profile races last November involving black Republican candidates, but they all lost). But again, I think it's indicative of the GOP's increasingly white heterosexual male outreach.

A fair point. Although there are many women who vote Republican (just as religious/socially conservative as guys). I thought about putting down WASP, but I think Judeo-Christian is more accurate (P of course is Protestand, and Catholics are Christians too...as are Mormons and the like). Most Republicans are strong proponents of Israel, for example, and thus Jews are certainly welcome.

But yeah, it doesn't feel like there's much of a "big tent" these days.

Some groups believe that the Messiah (whether Jesus or someone else) will appear around the time of an apocalyptic battle in Jerusalem. Traditionally the Messiah would then lead the Jews to victory.

No. They believe in the Restoration, and view Protestants as apostates as well (well, apostasy may be too strong of a term, but they didn't break off from any established denomination and weren'r protesting the Catholic Church like Martin Luther did with his Theses).
