I'm really quite sick of the division within the gay community. No one can just be gay anymore, if it was ever that way. It's extremely prevalent around this time, Pride season, when you get a strong division. Pride is NOT for a specific type of queer, it's not for the idiot follower, not for the drugged out twink, not for the fat ass bears who need a reason to make out in the streets. It is for us, every single one of us. Gays are filled with reasons why they shouldn't go to pride, "it's not my scene" or "I'm too good for that" or "I'm not some (insert blatant homosexual stereotype here)". You wanna know why we're not getting anywhere with our rights? Because half the fucking gay community hates what they're apart of. You know something though, we have it lucky, we can hide like most of the gays in this world do. You can't see gay. You can't touch gay, you can't smell gay. Being gay is all mental, it has no physical attributes. Do you understand? Sure, we can just sit back and let the brave ones do our work for us while we sit back and judge, but that's our privilege. Because we can't be picked out in a crowd.

Don't judge me or call me any less of a person because I go to pride, because I go clubbing, because I wear a rainbow ring, because I hold my date's hand in public. Don't blame me for saying or doing things that you don't do, probably just because you don't have the balls to do it yourself. Pride is not an excuse for us to get drunk, make out with strangers, and dress in drag, (we just choose to do these things), Pride is about FAMILY, it is about us showing our support for our fellow gays, showing support for what people have done and are still doing for us. Even if you don't like what happens, you should still go just to support what your people believe in, have fought for, have died for, and will continue to do for however long it takes.

I'm done rambling.
