It wasn't intended to be funny, it was intended to be damning. CWFA do a disservice to people in general, my anger and disgust towards them as a collective is well earned and the phrasing in this post is appropriate as far as I am concerned. I respect your opinion, however much I may disagree, but I would ask that you explore this organization further and scrutinize my reasoning before any suggestion of misogyny is levelled against me here.

oh, i'm fully aware about the organization. yes, they're an awful, homophobic, transphobic group. however, using sexist language doesn't help your case. this scenario would be akin to someone calling fred phelps a "faggot," or some other slur. we must realize the simultaneity of all oppressions and work for social justice on a broad front. fighting sexism is a part of fighting homophobia and transphobia. don't use my genitalia to "damn" anyone.

So for the sake of continuity, am I correct in assuming that the word "cunt" for you is a descriptive term denoting vagina? If that is the case, then accept that in this post it is a term of derision, much like "asshole" spotlights a person who is meanspirited, say - and not necessarily an anus. I do not use that word with any sexist connotation, it is gender unspecific as far as I am concerned. There are men (and I use that gender pronoun as loosely as women in regard to these beings) also at CWFA ( ... )

I still don't get why women have to raise the status of thier vaginas to that of royalty. I have a penis and I don't treat it differently or think it's anything special.. lol. It's just a penis.

I thought that was a great piece of writing. Cunt is a word that should be used well to make a point like any other tool. Many artists have used it in their writing successfully. The fact that it has ignited a conversation like the one above makes it clear that you have done an excellent job here. I do hope though that the people who have been upset by its use also take a few steps back to take in the view of all of the other important ideas that you are expressing.
