...but looking through recent entries says no. *crosses fingers*

Anyway, two amusing articles on gay marriage from Cracked:

6 Pro-Gay Marriage Arguments for Fighting With Crazy People

Basis of the article is that because most anti-gay arguments are illogical and crazy, the only way to fight them is that your own arguments must make even less sense and be even crazier. :)

3 Things Gay People Are Going to Hate About Gay Marriage

Mostly things straight couples hate or fear about marriage right now - i.e. commitment. \o/ (Quote: Damn, you [gays] have a "get out of marriage free" card. You can pretend to really want to marry your partner, but, then -- and this is the point that I'm not sure I've stressed enough -- totally not marry them. And it's OK. Have you overlooked this somehow? Look, I know filing joint taxes is awesome and everything, but are you sure you've thought this through?)

With a little bit of seriousness, though, I do love that it is at Cracked of all places - they tend to target younger men, aka the ones most likely to use "no homo" and often have higher tendencies of homophobia than other demographics. Maybe I'm reading too much into it (and I haven't read the comments on these articles) but it could help turn the tide of the immature sides of homophobia (the people who are still at that "it's icky!" stage). Though admittedly it takes a little understanding of gay politics/reality to get the full sarcasm in the articles (which often refer to jokes and stereotypes mixed in with the serious side, so it can get a little confusing if you don't already have a little insight).

Thoughts?
