Westboro Baptist Church
So, I know Portland tends to be a big draw for people like these (i.e., homophobes protesting gays, such as the Westboro Baptist Church), but across the river? Not so much. Anyways, these people are coming to a school near my home, just as the students leave, specifically to harass them and blame them for the country's problems, etc. (You know, all the lovely things that people do in the name of a supposedly loving God.)

I'm involved in trying to organize a counterprotest. What do you think? Any ideas? Some people say to just ignore them, but that doesn't seem like it would be very effective, and, besides, it's not really feasible considering the sheer number of people involved. Anyways, thoughts? Commiseration? Experiences you might have already had with these oh-so-lovely people?
