Justin Raimondo touches a bit upon the same subject (from a much different tack) in his latest column. As Raimondo says, the UK tends to be a few years ahead of us in those matters, and generally not for the better. And as I argued in the previous thread in this group, it really doesn't matter what side you start from, or how noble or not your intentions are-once the government starts regulating morality for some, they can come for you next.
