I don't know if you guys know what was going on with Perez Hilton, but I'll break it down as quick as I can. He got into a "scuffle" with a Will.I.Am (of the Black Eyed Peas) and his manager, he called Will a Faggot. And then got punched in the face for it by Will's manager. Then went on his Twitter and told people to call the cops for him or whatever and made a Perez like video crying his eyes out like the baby he is. ANYWAYS, several Gay Groups including GLAAD has asked that Perez apologize for using that word. Now, I know some people feel that the word is ok to use from one gay man to another gay man, but this isn't that case. He used it in a hateful way (and admits he did). So? His response?
"I am saddened GLAAD chose to victimize me further by criticizing me for how I non-violently dealt with a very scary situation that, unfortunately, turned violent. While I doubt I will get an apology from GLAAD, nor do I expect one, I would just hope people know how difficult it is to intellectualize a situation and think rationally when a thug disguised as a musician is screaming at your face and intimidating you. I am just very fortunate and grateful that nothing more serious happened to me."
I fail to see how he's the victim in this. ANYWAYS, I know of people in our community REALLY doesn't like the man, but I figured we could use something new to talk about, especially considering here's a man who went ape-shit when Isiah Washington used the word hatefully...I think it just shows the kind of man this asshat is.
