Kinda cool when "live and let live" is actually applied, isn't it?

I was pleasantly surprised when I heard about this, since Wyoming is so conservative. But good news. I imagine Wyoming has a more libertarian streak than many red states.

While Wyoming definitely has a sizable presence of fundamentalist and evangelical Christians, it's also a place that attracts a lot of people whose #1 priority in life is to be Left The Fuck Alone, and sometimes the latter group prevails in politics.

This is one of those weeks where I'm proud to be from Wyoming, and where my affection for Wyoming is kindled. I admire the libertarian side of the state, and it's the one thing I miss now that I live in a land of leftist busybodies. Especially in the last month or two as the city has moved to prohibit new fast food places in black areas because the enlightened liberals from the West Side think blacks are too stupid to decide for themselves what to eat.

Not kindled in the sense that I'd ever want to live there again, but kindled. %)

From reading the comments, I guess it makes sense.

I thought if CA fell, states would fall along with it. But some people said that it's clear that Prop 8 was wrong after all the protests and stuff and other states have recognized this...rather than join CA, they're doing the opposite.

Go Wyoming!
