In particular, in Florida and Utah (although Florida is purple).

Some highlights...

Florida, which passed an anti-gay marriage constitutional amendment in November:
  • 55% of respondents favor lifting the ban on gay adoption. 39% want to keep it.
  • 62% of respondents favor legal recognition for gay relationships: 27% for marriage, 35% for civil unions. Only 31% oppose any legal recognition.
Utah, where the Mormon church is located (and which is one of the most overwhelmingly conservative states in the country). 66% of poll respondents were Mormons:
  • 62% of respondents think it should be illegal to fire someone for being gay.
  • 57% say it should be illegal to deny someone housing because they're gay.
  • 72% think health coverage should be extended to non-married partners, for state employees.
  • 20% say they support gay marriage.
