Real World: Brooklyn

Since there was a thread earlier about the transwoman on Real World: Brooklyn...

There are actually three GLBT cast members this season. There's a JD, a gay man from Miami who works as a dolphin trainer and is going on RW to get away from what sounds like a pretty unsupportive family. Sarah, from San Francisco, said from the start that she's in a relationship with a guy right now but the vast majority of her relationships have been with women and her boyfriend is afraid she'll be lured away by a hot girl (but it was approached the same way that anyone going into the series with a boyfriend/girlfriend is worried). Plus Katelynn (sp?), the transwoman, whose boyfriend was featured prominently in her introduction.

...And a very fashionable Mormon about whose straightness I have my doubts, but we'll see.

The reason this warrants a post is that it's the first time at least in recent history, if not ever, that there has been more than one GLBT person on the show at a time. Generally there is one gay man per season, once or twice they've had an out lesbian. I figured that, with the transwoman, there would be no others from the GLBT community on this season. What a pleasant surprise.
