Well, like I said in an earlier topic, nobody really knows how many GLBT's there are in the United States. The LBGT vote could very well be a quantitatively significant population, or it may actually be only 2% of the population, which would make appealing to the GLBT community like appealing to Athiests (which also make up about 2% of the population).
does a candidate going to a bowling ally or a pub or a state fair or a small town diner or any of the many other places they wouldn't set foot in if it wasn't for the fact that they are running for office convince people to vote for them?
My point is that 90% of the events related to political campaigns are silly when you think about it.
Some people don't think it's fair to judge Hillary Clinton based on policies Bill Clinton supported. Although it's harder to separate her from them since she's tried to run on the success of the first Clinton administration.
The best thing which can happen in this race is that Hillary will win NC and Penn., and then she'll get the needed super-delegates. I don't doubt that she knows where a lot of bodies are buried in Washington. Plus, no one really wants to end up like Vince Foster. Then she'll go into the November election unprepared and lose against McCain after all of the moderate Democrats will have left the party and voted for McCain because of the whole fracas right now. The Democratic party is ripping its self apart. To quote Martha Stewart, "Its a good thing

I agree Chelsea does not equal her mother. Neither does Bill.
However, it is possible the exposure will increase the public awareness that Clinton is still running and she is in touch with various areas of our population. Ultimately, I don't see how that could hurt her campaign.
The reverse question would be, when Obama was quoted by the press as having attacked a group of homophobic black people for not embracing the queer community (which he's only done once, and never again)... do you think that "actually convinced anyone to vote for him?"
Sadly, it does seem, the American public/general population is more interested in the pretty face and the popular personality and the more visible candidate. It doesn't seem that issues and moral character are of any importance during the nomination process.
Eh, all I meant is that I'm sick of Chelsea and Bill doing all of Hillary's campaigning for her. It seems like I rarely see or hear of her actually doing anything.
That would be because you aren't paying attention. Clinton (as in Hillary) has been campaigning almost every day. If you "dig" in the news, you'll find it. But yeah, if you just pay attention to the top 3 stories, you'll see Obama, Obama saying Clinton is cynical, and MAYBE you'll see something were Bill has said something stupid or where Chelsea has jumped on the campaign trail, but more likely you'll see something about Obama eating waffles or signing autographs instead.
