Look! Your cat is on the chair.
Look! Your cat is under the chair.
It's golden week in Japan! Woooo. Golden week is an ENTIRE WEEK of holidays! That's what they tell you in the brochure, anyways. The truth is that we got Monday off for 'Greenery Day' (which was really on Sunday), and we'll get Thursday and Friday off for Constitution Day and Citizen's Day (labor day?). Saturday is Children's Day, but I don't work on Saturday so it doesn't do much for me. Nosy kids.
But I'm at work, because Tuesday is a school day. Wednesday, too. On the bright side, they're early dismissal days, and there are no classes after lunch. Why even have school if you're only going to have 6 hours of classes this week? I dunno.
But where there are three day weekends, there is also hope. I got together with Lily, Evan, Dan (!), and Kristen on Sunday night and we ate food together. I made a Caesar salad (do you capitalize that?), but I couldn't get any romaine lettuce, even though I biked down to Yume Town to look. Lily made meatloaf, which was good enough to make anybody rethink their position on the stuff. Mashed potatoes and creamed spinach were also enjoyed. And then we had strawberries and cream and brownies and ice cream. Throughout, we enjoyed several beverages, as I brought nearly all my liquor over, too. Kahlua/Amaretto/milk, Doctor Peppers, Moskow Libres, a dirty martini... that's about as far as we got.
And now: Dan's dream. Dan dreamt that he was kissing a girl and she threw up in his mouth. He was wearing his suit at the time, and was very pleased to find that he had 'only gotten a little bit of sick on it.' So, what do you think that symbolizes?
