Managed to sleep a little late, which was nice. And we're not going anywhere today, so we can relax a bit--my aunt may be stopping by later, and so is slothshaman and maybe another friend, but otherwise it's a good day for catching up a bit. And for writing. I got a solid chunk done this morning/afternoon, and I'm on track for actually finishing NaNoWriMo. ( Read more... )

We went to a buddy's in Astoria for Thanksgiving dinner, which was a lot of fun--he and his wife have a decent-sized backyard (for New York) and had set up a really cool tent in it, complete with a wood-burning stove and several space heaters. Went to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America's annual New York Reception last night, which was a lot of fun. Saw a bunch of friends, renewed contacts with some editors, met some new people, etc. As a result I didn't get as much writing done as I'd like, but any progress is good progress:
