Three good things meme
1. I made orange belt in gumdo today. (Korean sword style.) I'm not entirely sure I deserved it, but.
2. A cold front's coming, so the next few days will be grey and in the 70s. I'm really looking forward to it.
3. My friends. I 'hired' Alyss and Merewyn to come help me with some necessary house stuff this weekend -- for the cost of lunch before and a pastry at Starbucks after. We listed and bagged 6 trash bags and four boxes full of stuff for Good Will, recycled a lot of plastic bags at Target, got storage bins, and then packed most of my kitchen up. A contractor's coming in sometime soon to shift me from an electric range and an electric oven that no long works over to an all-in-one gas stove/oven. Plus he's going to put in shelving to fill the new gap, and counter to fill new gaps, and repaint... This will be good in the very soon run, if stressful during the 'oh my god my house is getting invaded and noisy' portion. (Good contractor, but he can talk anyone's ears off.)
