Okay, that's always fun! (Also a question)

Jun 03, 2013 12:10

Judging from my AO3 kudos email, someone apparently ran into one of my fics, liked it, and promptly started reading through my other stories to see what they liked. ::laughing:: They then left kudos on maybe a dozen stories across six or seven fandoms.  Whee! I was writing this morning anyway, but that's a nice boost for my mood!

In the category of 'sheer curiosity':  If I like a story enough to bookmark it, I leave a kudo at least and frequently a comment.  But oddly enough, I'm seeing a lot of bookmarks where the bookmarker hasn't left a kudo.  I guess I'm supposed to take the bookmark as a compliment?  (Which it is, no argument.)  I don't know, it just seems a little odd to me. Is this normal and I've been doing this wrong? ::amused:: I ask as someone who's not on Facebook and was pleasantly surprised to get the kudos button on AO3.
