well, since you asked...still insane, actually. I was out of town traveling for work for about a week, and since there is nobody else to do my work for me while I'm gone, came back to two weeks' worth of work that I was struggling to get control of when I was able to take it one week at a time. (this position is a merging of two jobs--one person left and another was let go, and they gave the resulting combination/mess of two jobs to me--with, of course, no lessening of workload for either job or lowering of the standards from people who had been doing the jobs for years. And those folks left/were fired because they couldn't keep up with the workload. Eeek! is too weak a sentiment

And damn. ::rueful:: I take it you can't go to HR about 'no, really, this is not tenable?' Glad you're starting to feel less like you're drowning!! {{hugs}} and good luck and eee, new fic to read!
Please, please pace yourself. Look after you. NO job is worth burning yourself out for. And it is very very easy to do so. BANG. So, do not allow it to take over. Delegate and let some of it drop (while communicating what is going to drop and why)
No, we don't know each other. But Rhi knows me. And she knows that I truly know exactly what I am talking about here! (Yes, you can ask her, if you want!)
