I was muttering about Newt Gingrich (and the rest of the potential Republican candidates) when it crossed my mind that I needed a new term.  If a Yellow Dog Democrat would vote for a yellow dog if s/he ran, I'm nominating a phrase for those voting for 'anyone but Obama' -- Pink Elephant Republicans.

ETA:  Also, whoops!  Both of us were having the discussion, but
draconis came up with this term!
