I am doing this meme:
1. Reply to this post with 'chai', and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee. TELL ME ABOUT YOUR ICONSES.
Two sets: First, from
seferin :
(looking at them lined up, damn that's a dark set.)
I usually pull Kronos out for 'technical' choices -- technically you have some, but few/none of them are good. Occasionally just for dithering days, though.
I got this from Eponin, I think, and it's still one of my 'may things get better' icon.
What? Doesn't everyone need a Dief icon? I mean, dS does stand for the Dief show, right? (That wolf is just that awesome.)
I think I got this one from JiMPage363. I'm not sure I've ever used it, mind; it could be taken as such a judgmental statement. But to me, it says that your past is what made your present and shapes you and your future. I still want to write a story where failures lead to victory, but I don't know what fandom/character it's going to be. (But then, I also want to write a Ceirdwyn fic around Thea Gilmore's "This Girl Is Taking Bets," too.)
I just like this picture of Dyson; he looks less arrogant than some. Just amused, and comfortable in his own skin and that formal outfit and those formal surroundings. ::cheerful:: It's also one of my werewolf/shapeshifter icons.
And from
samjohnsson :
Ah, my zen/balance icon. Some days feel like this, piling things on top of each other and trying to set them to hold each other up without falling. And some days, I just want a grey-scale/black and white icon.
::shrugs:: What it says. Sometimes, I need the reminder. Or someone else does.
I love winter, and snow. (Spoken, I grant, like someone who lives in the South where snow doesn't happen often and shoveling the sidewalk/driveway is a foreign concept.) But this picture makes me feel better on crazy hot days.
Well, he is, when you get right down to it. So is the rest of SG-1, but Cam's the one who took over and held them together after Jack got promoted up into Hammond's job. And he did it from a hospital bed, from a battlefield, from the wreckage (and belated letters of condolence) of his fighter command. Big damn hero and a decent man to boot. (Besides. He loses his pants a lot. Have to love that, too.)
::amused:: Well, one, it's Killa's work. Two, I love that Cory smirk. A little too much joy/glee in it to be Alex. (Love how well Nick Lea differentiated them.) Really, I think a bad penny would be more appropriate for Cory, but what the heck, can't have everything.
