Yay! October! Also, Matthew question.
Yay! Like a maniac, I'm trying to have five stories done for Halloween. The Discworld one is about, um, 2/3 done in first draft. I'm going to have to go back over it in hard copy and make it scarier. The X-Files/Riddle-master of Hed one is 2 pages in, needs 1 page rewritten as I shift a plot point, and I have no idea how it ends, which has me going eep at odd moments. The Warehouse 13 fic I at least know what the artifact is, and what it does, and I have... no idea how to give this a plot. We shall see what happens. Maybe I'll set it in a few years back? Or a lot of years? Hmm. Now that has possibilities.
The mummy heist needs four pages rewritten now that I've found my pictures of the museum the caper is set in. I do know how it ends; I just have to get them there. Without, you know, getting Marcus Constantine pissed at me. He's annoying when he's annoyed. And the LaCroix fic for
last_writes is also in the line-up, but hey, it's LaCroix. I can let him dictate a story to me, no problem. Soon. Very soon. It's the 7th, isn't it? 3 and a half weeks for too many fics. Eep? Expect panicky 'who's got time to beta?' posts in the near future. And damn. I may just write the due South zombie snippet and not worry about a plot.
My roof is back on. My living room is now painted. (2 windows, 1 built in bookshelf, two doorways, and a wide archway/pass through -- trim, we hates painting it, my precious.) The dry wall dust is mostly up. Now I have to empty the dining room to get the repairs done there, and then we're done. I'm sure it'll be fine in the end but in the meantime, it's fall, and I should be writing, and house stuff, feh!
Last but not least: Matthew McCormick.
killabeez posted earlier about him, and now we're both wondering who's written Matthew in the past? As far as I know, Carin Lamontagne was first, with "Immortal Beloved." Past that, he's shown up in my stories, and Killa's.

alysswolf . Over on the HL Fiction archive, I found fic listed from AD Absolutely, Alesia, Aubereus, Dasha, Emby Quinn, Justin P, Kesomon, and Leslie Fish. A03 has more: Medie, and Pollyanna show up there. And I found one by Bug Eyed Monster over on Twisting the Hellmouth, but Matthew's not one of the characters with his own index at 7th Dimension, so I just don't know there. (Anyone know if Aubereus is still working on that 1880s Texas fic she had started?)
Somewhere, I used to have a list of Matthew fic, and I have no idea where it's gone. Who else do y'all know has written one of my favorite Southerners? And where's the fic?
