draconis ' birthday tomorrow. (His karate class is here today and can help eat it. Recipe in the next entry. YUM.) And then I saw the news explode across my friends' list about Prop 8 being ruled unconstitutional. The article I saw on it noted that the judge further went on to say the anti-gay marriage 'expert witness' was less than useful. "Blankenhorn gave absolutely no explanation why manifestations of the deinstitutionalization of marriage would be exacerbated (and not, for example, ameliorated) by the presence of marriage for same-sex couples," [Judge] Walker wrote, noting that "much of his testimony contradicted his opinions."
