Oh, yeah, not winning NaNoWriMo this year either.
Somehow, every time I sign up for NaNoWriMo, I get momentous changes in my life rather than vast quantities of words written down. However, I also usually get a lot of thinking done about stories in progress, what isn't working, why it isn't working, how to get it to work. There's no way I'm going to hit 50,000 words, but I might well finish several stories now, so I'm not kicking myself over this. (Especially since the four stories in question already have 120,000 words between them now and need more than that added across them.)
In the meantime, I wrote a short LaCroix soliloquy tonight, which I've been wanting to do for years now, and fixed the keyboard tray on my desk, so not all bad. Soliloquy up tomorrow after I polish it. Meanwhile, I'm off to bed. Night, all!
