Yup, all three fandoms and some complete insanity, but I had a blast writing it. Summary? Um, oh, this:

Possibly the weirdest part of Mulder's night so far -- and it said a lot about the whole thing -- lay in the wolf being the one that tried to get out of his way to let him shoot the basilisk again.

::grin:: Read, enjoy, comment if you will. Read more... )

*LOL* That was awesome!

BTW, I just checked out your site and I love the new design! Of course, it may not be so new but it's been a while since I've visited.

slasher :)

Eep! I'm so sorry, I thought I'd sent replies...

So very glad you liked the story -- I had a blast writing it. Er, no pun intended. And the site redesigns are about 3 months old, so nope, you're not that late. Thank you again!

::giggling:: Love your icon, and sorry I'm slow responding!

Yeah, those three had *fun*. I do love the idea of Oz showing up one day and telling Carl, "Medium rare." "What?" "You owe me a steak dinner. ::patient:: From outside Cleveland?" (You know he'd do it, right?)

I like the rewrite -- the action is a lot easier to follow now, I think. And the whole thing is still totally insane in the best possible way!

I loved that little exchange between Robin and Carl, too.

::giggling:: Yeah, I can just imagine Carl's frustration at not being able to admit that yes, he's himself. Poor baby. And while this was wonderful insanity to write, bless you for going through both versions and even more for letting me know the changes work. Thanks for that, and the feedback!

Did I tell you the first time how much I loved Oz, the wolf? Hee! He's so in character, even though he never says anything.

::giggling:: No, you didn't, but cool, and thank you! Oz is *such* fun to write!

(Good thing, too -- I'm now 3800 words into Ill Met By Moonlight; I think it's gonna hit 5500 by the end. ::sigh:: Up for editing it, too, when it's done?)

::cheerful:: Back at work on it now. I'm gonna have to come up with a wolf or Oz icon at this rate. (Haven't much liked most of my pix of Oz for an icon, though, damn it.) Anyway, that all translates to "thank you, yes!"
