Other than me? Eep! The panic parties may start here.

Fandoms to write include "The Master and Margarita," "From Eroica With Love," "Classical (i.e., Greek) Myth," "Norse Myth," "Irish Myth," and "Vagrant Story". You might want to consider playing, dear heart. You could sign up to write in any four of ( Read more... )

I'll know in a week. I can't quite get my head around the huge number of fandoms on offer.

I'm wishing they had an updated list of 'fandoms available' 'characters available' and 'fandomsr requested.' But hey, this is huge and done by volunteers. ::reminds self of this repeatedly:: ::G:: What can I say, they do it so well, I end up spoilt and whining.

I checked the Wayback Machine a while ago. It looked like last year there was a list of fandoms on offer, but not characters for each. I was really hoping the same thing you mentioned, so I could look everything over to make choices that were least likely to explode in my face.

I'm not about to ask any questions or make any comments on their comm this year. If I can find the bare minimum that look safe, I'll sign up.

::nodding:: I'm signing up for a lot and in a few days I'll look over my confirmation and change if I need to, but I'm really signing up for stuff I'm sure I could write and would enjoy writing. This is supposed to be a gift, but it's not supposed to leave me exhausted and miserable, either.

I expect so -- although I'm also hoping to hand my story in early, before I leave on vacation.

I don't believe I'm signing up, though. ::whimpers:: I've lost my mind again.

Master And Margarita? Now that's iiiiinteresting. I had no idea this book is popular in English.

::laughing:: I have no idea if it is. Yuletide is for obscure fandoms in the sense that there isn't much fanfic on the net. Someone requested it, and I know Coyo likes it, so I 'yelled' for her.

Oh, OK. I can't imagine trying to emulate or compete with Bulgakov, but then, I know this book only in original, never saw the English translation. I, personally, will never be THAT self-assured, even writing in Russian. :)

People will try all sorts of things. We'll see what happens.

{{hugs}} If you do, I can beta for you. If you don't, I'll call on you to beta for me. Just do what you like, okay? And this time, *don't* pinch hit. No matter what. Okay?
