Dodging one plotbunny for four years now...
Which leads me, quite directly, to a HL-fandom question I've wondered about for ages now:
Why are there only three Haresh Clay/Carter Wellan stories out there? I wrote two of them; Devil Child wrote the first. The guys are gorgeous, they're canonically a couple, and while we didn't see enough of Carter, Haresh was intriguing and (to my admittedly biased eye) 'grey' rather than evil or good. He was, simply, playing the Game. What kind of person does it take to hold up a love match for nine centuries? (They had three times the years together that Gina and Robert did.) Where did this idea come from that Haresh takes the fights instead of Carter? Carter *slipped* on the gravel; until then, he didn't seem incompetent. And damn it, who's gonna write more fic with them? ::bats big green eyes:: Pretty please?
