Two dozen-plus down, hopefully no more to go....
Er. Bees...? We walked in and there were bees in the kitchen. A dozen. Swarming to get back *out*. Eight more in the bathroom I was planning to soak in. One in my bedroom. None in Alysswolf's room. But we came back from spraying those and found one *more* each in the bathroom and kitchen. We have no idea how they're getting in. Eep?
So much for my soak in the cast iron, claw-footed tub.... At least 'til we're sure we got them all.
ETA: Okay. We *think* we got them all. A swarm of them was apparently trying to set up housekeeping under the eaves, between kitchen and bathroom. Roach spray (with a straw, to direct it) works very well on bees. No new ones in the house since. Most of the ones outside are now dead or fled, and the area around the eaves is well sprayed. Hopefully this will fix it. But good lord!
Alysswolf is enjoying a well-deserved shower/tub soak to get that crap back off her and out of her lungs, then it's my turn, but she had the hard job.
