Four Months of Post
Has it really been since April? Ug, I'm SO bad at this. OK here goes, then.
Liane and Dustin are still living with us, Liane is pregnant again (it's going to be a little boy)...5 people, one room apartment in our basement...glad it's not me down there.
This summer Matt and I are trying to do more "family stuff." So, as fun, and because we could really use the excersise we've been going to various state parks in the region and going on the hiking trails. It's been a LOT of fun :-). Two weekends ago, we went camping at Gifford-Pinchot state park. Sara had a blast, and she and Matt spent most of the weekend fishing..Matt caught a little 10-inch bass for all that weekends' work (which of course, he made me cook for him...wasn't too bad). We roasted marshmallows saturday night, and one of mine caught fire. I waved my stick around in an attempt to put it out, and a big glob of flaming marshmallow flew off and stuck on Matt's jeans (luckily he had the presense of mind to blow it out..I was just frozen in horror). Sunday morning, Matt and Sara get up at 5 am to fish and forget their bug spray, so now they look like Seurat paintings. But we had so much fun we're planning a few more camping trips for next year...at least on of which I'd like to do up in Old Forge, NY...we used to go up there when I was young and it was a LOT of fun.
My Lampworking/Beading slowed down over the summer...its just hard to find an hour or two of quiet time when the house is, litterally, filled with all the neighborhood kids all day, every day. Luckily, school starts tomorrow, so I'll have at least a little "me time" back again.
Our rabbit had a nasty bout with fleas a few weeks ago..I have NO idea how a rabbit on the 2nd floor of a house gets fleas (our cats are stricly indoor cats, but both they and the dogs are on advantage...one of those once a month flea treatments..so I'm baffled). But it was bad. I called the vet, and she told me the only flea products you can use on rabbits are prescription only, so we had to take him in, and now he's on a flea treatment, too. Poor thing.
Other than that stuff is about the same..still playing WoW, still gaming on Sundays, etc. etc.
