Need a new job

Jun 29, 2007 12:19

Hello folks

Long time no write

I need a new job...simple. I am not loosing the political battles inherent with this job, which is a relief. What I am loosing is the will to carry on fighting them.

Damn but it is like a bloody kindergarten

So Monday I return to work after a small bit of Hospital...which was nice. Anyone remember my last blood clot/kidney stone issue. Well this involved ultrasound treatment...GOOD GOD it hurt...and still does though to no where near the same extent.

Anyway they have appointed me a new person....er shouldn't I have interviewed them? As they work for me? Perhaps?

So I dug out my contacts and rang round with the battle cry of GET ME A NEW JOB

There are two really good possibilities

The first interview is today it is with NAME REMOVED, a world leader in the recovery and reuse of waste materials in flooring/wood products.

COOOL...sounds right up my GREEN street.

They are going to pay around the £45k mark...which is pretty good. Then I had a thought, lets not go into something like this blind. I don't want to get burned like I have here.

I asked myself "why" they want someone who is predominantly a crisis manager, and an expensive one, in what is essentially a brand new plant. So I do my homework on the company (while doing 93 other things)....er friggin el this place is a death trap.

There is a campaign to have them closed and questions have been asked about them in PARLIAMENT, and they have only been open since end 1999.
