At long last, Immigrations granted me my H1-B visa.
15 days before it is supposed to be effective.
5.5 months of pure, unadulterated stress because of waiting and uncertainty.
14 pounds, I have lost in the 5.5 months, from the stress.
But of course...
1 day after my company paid an extra $1000 for premium processing because we were all getting impatient.
Now, because of this development:
1. I am not moving to Canada. At least not in the meantime.
2. I can finally start planning my wedding.
3. My wedding will be in the US.
4. I am rethinking the free European trip being dangled in my face by my parents, in June 2009.
5. The company is now moving on with my Green Card Processing.
It's good to have some sense of finality at last.
