The animals were surprisingly active when we were there; it was a beautiful day and not too crowded, so most of them seemed inclined to at least wander around. The snow leopards in particular were gorgeous (only really succeeded in drawing the sleeping one, though.)
I weirdly but invariably get one of two completely unprompted comments every time I draw in public, though - it's either "Oh, my seven year old draws. He's really good." or "I used to draw/paint fifteen years ago. Now I don't." I have yet to come up with something creative to say to either one of these; I should just learn to stick my headphones on no matter what, really.
