Tired Wednesday

Feb 07, 2007 22:33

So, I watched An Inconvenient Truth, and I have to say that I've changed my mind. I liked it. I thought Al Gore did a good job, made the science accessible, didn't dumb it down terribly, and he had great graphics. Whoever does his animation is awesome (I'm sorry, was that Matt Groening??) So I recommend it. For sure.

Oh, but I'm tired tonight. I thought I was pulling out of my cold, but it has reasserted itself and I'm on my way to bed (by way of LJ, email and a niggling desire to go check the Cypress Nemeton board - dang it). My eyes are stinging and I woke up this morning at about 4:30 with a charley horse in my left calf. Again. I have no idea why. But I was able to fall back asleep after the really intense pain died down to a dull pain. Luckily. I really wonder what my pain tolerance is or if I have a different sort of relationship to pain... Maybe it comes from so many headaches and migraines, pain is just pain. Move on, you can deal and if you can't, take something or sleep. I wonder if I'll have the same attitude during childbirth...

I was going to watch Lake House tonight (trash movie) but I'm so tired now I can't make it. I'll watch it tomorrow night and hopefully Blockbuster won't start threatening to make me buy it. Then I'll have three more to take me into the weekend - Fantastic Four, Frida and Failure to Launch. Fantabulous!

I went to dinner tonight with a person that I'm friendly with but not necessarily someone I'll spend a lot of time attempting to remain in contact with (my friend S suggested I was an idiot to continue spending time on this guy, I just tiredly agreed and continued on my way home). He's a nice guy when he's not trying to seduce you. Unfortunately, that's what he tries to do every time he sees me. He's also a little bit ADHD, I think, and he's hard to deal with. I went to a movie and dinner with him last year and I actually had to go to the washroom to have a quiet moment to regroup. His energy is so chaotic (and I know chaotic energy!) it just rips me apart. I've never come across someone I couldn't really deal with before, but he is certainly someone that just completely tires me out simply talking. Of course, it might be the tango that goes on of me avoiding advances and him continually making them. But anywho... We went for sushi, and he paid (which he normally does) and that's kind of him. But I was tired when I *left* work tonight so now I'm just totally empty.

So that'll be my post tonight. I may even be able to resist checking the board... maybe...

introversion, this-n-that
