It's Thursday. I just have today and Friday to get things ready.
Pack and make sure I have everything I need.
Soak up as much fun time with the wife as I can.
We are going out to dinner tonight at a place called the Portland Grill.
A benefit to having worked for a boss with no financial sense and a desire to look and act impressive is that you get random $100 gift certificates to fancy restaurants.
So we will make use of that. Then probably a movie, so that should be lots of fun.
Ravenfrog has been doing more research on the whole housing thing, and has been trying to talk her parents into doing a road trip down to Alameda sometime in May in order to look around at things. We will see how that turns out. She planned to fly down at one point, but our finances have been depleted by the fact that she will be making a trip to come and see my graduation in June, which I appreciate.
Looks like we should be able to find a really nice place that will be covered by the BAH. I am just amazed at the prices. The current XO (executive officer) of the ESU (electronic support unit) is going to be renting out his house, since he is being transfered to D.C. so we could rent that place potentially, which sounds like a really nice place. We will see. Ravenfrog is fabulous at finding deals and stuff, so I'm happy to not have to worry about it.
