You know, this one didn't do a lot for me either. he shadowy things didn't make sense to me (in the way the ghost truck didn't make sense to me - ie, they didn't Feel Right). Basically, the whole plot just flailed all over the place.

And then, yes, I'm with you all the way that the logic of splitting up at the end was just stupid, and whatever emotional note there got missed.

OTOH, YES to the reunion scene. Yes, apparently Sam does automatically snap to and say "Yes, sir," if he doesn't have some reason not to. And yay hugs.

I found the whole scene where Dean admits how much he wants Sam around to be just heartbreaking. You're right, of course, that Sam ought to be able to go and live his own life, which just it makes it that much more sad.

Horny!Dean becomes more of a theme later on, alas, although the show forgets about it for a half a season at a time.

On Meg: we see her pull out a separate control-device - from inside her shirt, maybe? - and I figured that meant she'd been using that one all the time, and the other one the boys destroyed was just a decoy. Does that help?

As for the mechanism by which she survived, I don't believe that was revealed in this ep, but we find out later.

I can't say that I had all the same nitpicks about this ep that you did, but I certainly didn't find it very satisfying. It needed to be really good because it actually relates to the arc and stuff, but it wasn't. Feh. When I told you the eps with John were wonderful, this is not the one I was thinking of.

Oh! Also! The African American landlady? That's the same actress who played the priestess character on BSG - you know, the one who advises Roslin early on in the series.

Ahh, that's where I knew her from! I knew I recognized her! Thanks!

It was interesting to see him willingly display such raw vulnerability and admit what he wants for once. I like that he can be needy, and it made him seem like the younger brother.

Yes, thank you!
