This was absolutely perfect--the scenarios Buffy was coming up with and Spike's ways of reassuring her, her realization of how much she loves him, and then Dawn speeding up the process--I'm just incandescent with delight right now.
I also have to mention the meta angle with the potion and the Meltzer demons and how you managed to make a joke out of the whole comics situation while still blending it into the actual story to the point where it works. Brilliantly done.
And while I think what you've given us is perfect, I'd read whatever other endings you wrote, just because I'm sure I'd enjoy them, too.

I personally loved this ending. I think it fit with the rest of your story and brought Buffy and Spike's journey to the right point. However...I would absolutely love to read an alternate ending too. I love multiple endings because really, there is no single answer.
Definitely adding to my memories. :)
