From lutamira: Leave me a character and I'll tell you my top 3 ships for them.

and,

Tell me you want to play and I'll pick up to three of your fandoms. Then update your journal and answer the following questions:

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?

My fandoms from lutamira were BtVS, Harry Potter, and Arrested Development.

BtVS:

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?  I started watching the show for real (I say ‘for real’ because I’d seen a few scenes on television over the years) in summer 2006 because a friend of mine was hosting a Buffy elective at a summer writing program we both attended.   I went to the elective to support her, and the rest is history.  That was how I got into the show, and I got into fandom proper in summer 2010 for no really discernible reason.  My passion for BtVS had waned, and then it inexplicably fired up again in spring 2010 (I blame it on not having a BtVS calendar that year), and I started reading all the quality Spuffy fic I could find.  Somehow I discovered seasonal_spuffy, realized what I’d been missing out on all these years I’d been on LJ, and again, the rest is history.

2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?  I’ll probably stay in fandom now that I have friends, although I don’t know how much of an active presence I’ll be able to maintain once I graduate.  If I didn’t have friends I’d probably get bored and fade away, but now I’d miss you all too much to do that.  :)

3. Favorite episodes/books/movies/etc?  Um, anything Spuffy?  “Something Blue,” “Fool For Love,” “Intervention,” “Pangs,” “School Hard,” and “Lovers Walk” are the ones that leap to mind.  My other favorite and the episode I have probably watched most frequently from start to finish (surprisingly considering Spike’s not even in it) is “Doppelgangland.”  I LOVE that episode.

4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?  I write a lot of fic, and sometimes I discuss.  I mostly write, though.

5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?  Always!  Assuming they’re Spuffy fans, that is.  :D

Harry Potter:

1. I read the first book not too long after it came out, in ’98 or ’99, and I’ve been head over heels since.  I’m not actually in fandom proper, as Harry Potter is rather sacred to me and I cannot deal with some of the creative liberties people take with it.  I wrote and posted Hermione/Draco fic for about a year after the fifth book came out (for fun; I never shipped them in the sense that I expected it could ever happen in canon).  I think the sixth book coming out was what made me drift; I finished my WIP and left fandom mid-2006.  Or hey, maybe becoming obsessed with BtVS was what made me leave HP fandom proper.

2. LOL.  I will never move on.  The only thing I love more than Harry Potter in this world is my family.

3. Goblet of Fire.  I also particularly love Chamber of Secrets and Deathly Hallows.

4. I don’t participate, although I did a creative writing exercise the other day in class where I had to come up with a premise for HP fanfic, and it made me really want to write Rose/Scorpius.

5. I wouldn't recommend joining fandom proper, but EVERYONE SHOULD READ HARRY POTTER.

Arrested Development:

1. My dad, sister, and I were looking for something watch on Netflix while eating dinner, and we didn’t enjoy the pilots for Parks and Recreation, so we decided to try Amy Poehler’s husband’s show.  We never looked back.

2. Well, I’m not really in fandom, but I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving the show.

3. Hmm.  My run-throughs of the series were so fast that I can’t really distinguish episodes as favorites, but I especially like the George Michael/Maeby storylines and the non-Lucille-2 storylines about Lucille and Buster.

4.  Nope.  However, I have vague daydreams about doing something fannish before the movie, something like an “Arrested Development Week” on LJ where my fellow fans and I sing its praises and try to convince others to try it.

5.  YES.
