"I don't want him to see you! You'll ruin everything!"

The girl pauses for breath. Or perhaps she is so enraged that she is simply speechless. Either way, Lily takes the opportunity to speak up

[Subaru remembered what it was like to be called weird and how it had stuck with even him over the years.]

Sometimes people say things like that when they're not sure what else to say. It can be really saddening though to hear.

[Oh boy can she sympathize. Petunia has been calling her a freak most of her life. And it hurts because...well...she loves Petunia. They're sisters.]

I know she's jealous. I've known that for a long time. But I wish she'd...see past it and be happy for me. I'm happy for her.

Being happy for someone is a lot better than being jealous. At the same time no one has the right to destroy a person's happiness and words can hurt as much as any physical pain.

But I really do think we can all find someone to relate to if we try hard enough, it just might be someone that we haven't met yet.

You're right. On all points. [Lily isn't the sort to hold grudges. She genuinely likes giving second and third chances - if they are earned/deserved.] She's my sister. I thought that family would mean something to her. [But apparently not.]

I guess I'm lucky that Hokuto-chan has always been encouraging. It's sad when family members don't support one another.

She's my twin, usually we spend of lot of time together when I'm not having to work a job or catching up on school work.

[He blushes a little at the smile and the request to call him by his first name.] That would be alright.

Well she's not quite as talented with things like this, so I'm not sure if she will. But I guess it's possible that grandmother might have taught her how as well.

She would probably really enjoy it though.

Dream walking, our family are some of the head onmyōji that have served Japan. According to grandmother though Hokuto-chan isn't as skilled as I am when it comes to spells and things.

Oh, well then maybe she will show up after all. We've never really been separated for very long except for once, and I wouldn't want her to worry about me while I'm gone.

[When he had went for a year to train on his own. If he was going to be here awhile as a few people had told him, it would be nice to have Hokuto around.]
