Spelling Lioness
Is there a reason why the words dependent, independent, independence and definitely are now frequently spelled incorrectly? That is, with an a in place of the final e in the first three (dependant, independant, independance) and an a in place of the final i in the last (definately).
It is driving me up the wall. Although to be fair, I would really love to see exactly what an independance would look like. I suspect it would be terribly post-modern, and probably win something akin to a Turner prize (unless the Turner Prize also includes performance art).
