"I'm her best friend, West," snaps Zach.

Bwah! I love Zach putting West in his place :D Don't like West being so pushy toward and stalkery around Claire.

And your depiction of Peter's evident awkwardness around and dislike of West seems to me right on, considering the jumble of conflicting emotions Peter is experiencing for Claire :)

He leans in so that his forehead touches hers, and when he pulls back, Molly's cheeks are flaming red. Zach grins; if Peter had done that to him, he'd probably be blushing, too. Geez.

Nice detail *lol* Maybe we can get at least something like that between Paire on the show *sigh* (along with a hug and a kiss, of course :D).

Peter lets out a hoarse chuckle. "Uh, focusing on Claire is not hard for me," he says.

Gggguuuuuuhhhh… Of course it's not, Peter… :D

Oh, no! Claire can't remember Peter! *cries* At least this means Peter'll have to help her remember, spend time reminding her how much they mean to each other :D I hope. *sniffle*

Very thrilling chapter, Nat! I'm so curious to know who abducted Claire, Monty, and Simon, and what exactly happened to them :) Great job :)

Ha, glad you liked that comment from Zach to West. While I was writing this, of course, I had no idea how Canon!West would turn in to be a little stalkery, but within the realm of this fic, West doesn't really know anything about Zach's and Claire's friendship. So it's kind of like, "Woah, how did this new guy know about her powers?" while Zach's thinking the same thing about him. But as far as the tension goes, there's definitely more between West and Peter than there is West and Zach. For obvious reasons. :D

It is very sad that Claire can't remember Peter. But should make for some interesting reading, no? :)
