Yet Another Valentines

Everyone is mooning about here because of it too.  I can barely talk to Ron or Harry without them looking like someone beat them in the with a Bludger.  Ugh.  It's hard enough studying with them without being interrupted by "OH, WON-WON!"  Lavender's even more unbearable than she was before.  She and Parvati stay up half the night giggling over ( Read more... )

Couldn't you cast a spell on them to make them be quiet?

Sorry, I'm being facetious. I'm not bad at all, Hermione, thanks for asking.

I wish sometimes. However, a prefect should set an example and casting a spell that would make their friends be quiet for at least five minutes wouldn't be good for other people to follow. If only I could get Harry to do it. He seems to think it's funny.

You shouldn't have to thank people for asking about your health, Doctor.

Well, if no one ever found out it was you, there wouldn't be a problem~

It's only polite! And I need the practice.

Harry would know, and probably Ron. They're not that thick.

I doubt you could be anything but polite.

Yeah, but they're not about to rat you out, are they? At least I'd hope not.

Well, actually, I can be quite rude. S'a bad habit, really.

No, but I'd never hear the end of it from them. Harry already teases me about--well, you know. It's better to try and ignore it for as long as possible.

I still don't see how, but practice does make perfect.

Hmm. Well, you know best how to handle it.

Very easily and without thinking, mostly.

Yes. There always used to be answers to everything.

Yeah, I know the feeling...

Still, you know, that's why I keep traveling. To find things that I don't have the answers to. It makes life that little bit more interesting, you know. Even if it doesn't seem like that at the time.

Maybe the answer will hit me when I least expect it. Especially that book....

Ah, yes. That mysterious book. Have you got any more leads?

I think I do. There was a student here named Eileen Prince who seems to match, but I need more information on her. Plus Harry is insistent that the author is male. Obviously, a girl can't know all those things, it just has to a boy.

"Thick, stubborn, idiot that he is" typical.
