I had a great entry... and then i erased it.... damnit.
long story short- instead of the hellish training being done this
coming thurs (as promised, per the SECOND revision of the schedule) we
get to wait until monday. another FOUR days of 4:45-11:45
training! yay! we get to be pushed back a THIRD TIME!!!
I do understand that i've been complaining an awful lot about this
training.... but it's hellish. and to show how horrible it's
been, part of the reason why we're opening later is because a total of
half of the original people hired have all left.
so tonight was the 1st "mock run". basically half of the employee's
were customers, and half of us were the servers, cooks, etc. I'd
like to rename tonight "chickens with their heads cut off run". it was
horrible. no one knew where anything was, because no one went through
w/the servers as to where everything was in the kitchen..... as well as
over 30 min ticket times. Which isn't a that big of a deal
because it was just other employee's that we were serving, but would be
a GIGANTIC deal if it were real customers. I do understand that not
everyone (not to brag here) has had as much resturant experience as i
have. (not saying i know it all... but you get the jist, i've been
doing it for over 5 years...)but seriously, with all of this time that
was spent there, some of that should have been put into the training
manual. it is quite important to know how to do your job
correctly, especially when it depends on how much money you make.
so i guess i should end on a semi-good note..... well... umm..... i get
saturday off! yay! but probably not, because i might be picking up a
shift at logan's for a chick that picked up my shift tonight (we were
supposed to have tonight off from unos.. but of course, that didnt
happen)
gah. i'm so done.
