Excerpt From A Personal Letter

.....

Sad as it is, people behave in mysterious ways at times. Their actions puzzle us, upset us and may make us question their humanity. The important thing is to know and love yourself enough to pull through difficult times, whether financially, mentally or spiritually. Not easy as it seems but self resolve and determination will aid you in combating the feeling of loss and despair.

Family and true friends will always be around even if they may not be in the immediate geographical vicinity. They represent integral pillars of a person's true spiritual wealth. They're not to cast aside and be used on a whim again and again. It is unfortunate that many people do not realize this until it is too late. Especially with their parents.

Your birthday will always be your birthday, whether it will be celebrated on a grand or modest scale. The important thing is to be with the ones that are real and to usher in a new phase of your life. Another year, another chance to retake what's yours: the joy of life. As long as one recognizes that joy and embraces it, should the scale and grandeur of the party really matter?

As far as the many friends, how many can one manage? Everyone is at different stages and phases at any given time and will not be on the same wavelength. They find it difficult to synchronize in harmony. Failure to so may bring about discrepancies and feelings of neglect and even betrayal. It all depends on how one manages their time and friends.

.......

I hope these words bring you peace, solace and tranquility. It is not without a sense of irony that I felt all that for myself when I wrote this......
