Well, he is super-rich so he can afford to do that. Plus those kids are all as messed up as he is (due to their childhoods with dying and/or villainous parents) xD And they all want to deliver some justice themselves xD There was also a lot of behind the scenes stuff that went into creating each of these characters (they were introduced at very different times, not all together), but that would be going pretty deep into bat history, so that's a talk for another time ( ... )

Well, that's ok xD You're not the only one. A few months ago I was completely ignorant in this matter myself xD It's not like the media does a good job of representing them. They're mostly in some cartoons, but usually not all of them, and their personalities etc. are vastly different than from the comics.

They're both cute and cool :)

There actually is a Polish comic book about a Polish superhero inspired by Batman. He's called Biały Orzeł. The book is quite fun (it's a bit of a parody in places).

It's a very small venture set up by two brothers. They basically have a little publishing company of their own for it. So far there have been only 3 issues, so IDK if the thing is going to last ( ... )

i googled it up, it looks good. i'd never guess it's polish :o

oh, and i even know who jim lee is! i used to read x-men and wildcats as a kid. even some batman too.

it probably has nothing to do with jim lee but i also was a regular watcher of batman the animated series~

Yeah, the art is actually better than in some American superhero comics (which is really ironic) and they are keeping it very main-stream, sort of stereotypical and Jim Lee-esque to get that cliche vibe going xD ( ... )

what i liked about the animated series the most was the atmosphere, the darkness, the colours... the villians rocked too!]

inspired by jim lee & co i've created my own comic book at the age of 10. i need to find it, scan it and put on my lj. it's hillarious! now. but when i was 10 i really thought i'm being cool and that my awesome comic will get published one day, ha! XD

Yup, those aspects rocked :) And the voice acting is really good (I haven't watched much of the Polish dub, so I can't comment, but the English one is classic). I also enjoy the architecture and fashion on the show. It looks like an old gangster film :)

That's so cute :D Definitely put it up. My first fanarts (and basically most of what I've drawn so far) were actually connected to anime rather than western comics.
