Anime meme plus some blah
Day 4 - Anime you’re ashamed you enjoyed
lol, not that many. I actually watch pretty select stuff because I don't have much time. I'd say I enjoyed Pokemon for quite a long time... until I was 14, I think? Anyway, probably longer than I should have xD Yep, I was pretty childish and still am. Now I'm not really ashamed of it so much (I don't have a tendency to completely reject my old loves, I'm nostaligic that way :P), but I find it pretty dull and the fights long and repetative. Also the later the episodes, the worse.
I rl, I had a decent day. My psychology teachers are nice but the class is going to be pretty demanding. Lots and lots of stuff to read. The real problem is that I have plenty to read for my American literature class, so probably my brain will fry at some point. I enjoy reading but things can get pretty hectic and then the fun is gone. Right now I'm enjoying my last days of realtive freedom and reading Lorna Doone. It's an entertaining mix of romance, adventure and history. The characters are interesting as well. I also recommend the 2000 BBC adaptation. It has some gorgeous cinematography and good acting talent (and cute leads :)). I'm tempted to do a picspam. I rarely do them but this show definitely had lots of pretty going on. Lastly, avoid the 90s version with Clive Owen and Sean Bean. I love these guys,but the script is painfully bad and completely butchers the book.
What else? Well, today I met my friend and we had a pleasant talk. We were in the same class in high school, so I've known him quite long, but we got closer only recently. It's nice to have a reunion with high school friends every now and then. It really brings back memories. What's more school binds people so much more than university. It's more of an experience to share and in a way cherish.
Tomorrow I'm meeting another high school friend of mine. We're going to see Inception. It'll be my second time. I'm not normally one to go to the cinema twice for the same film (I can count every instance I did that), I only do that when I REALLY like the film. So dear Inception, that means - you're on my list of awesome films of awesome :D
