Useless. She had everything planned.

He had always been her favourite. He had been her frontrunner. But now she was left with incompetence.

He had ruined everything.

She wasn't used to failure. She had always left before things went horribly wrong. It had never been her fault.

This time was different. Her own flesh and blood had betrayed her and now he was gone.

Dead and gone.

Useless. That's all he would ever amount to.

Gabriel remembered the snow globes. He remembered them well. He remembered watching them, seeing the little people dance inside. It was picturesque - perfect.

He thought she would understand. He had truly believed in it. He was better than a watch maker. Fuck. He was Sylar.

But why? She should've loved it. She should've been dancing, like those people in the snow. It didn't make any sense. She'd just turned around and run into her room.

That's when he realized it - she was just like everyone else, boring and not special in any way. She was trapped in a snow globe, unable to see through the dense glass.

When Virginia Gray came out of her room, Gabriel was dead. When Virginia Gray attacked Sylar, Gabriel was dead. In the scuffle, he didn't cry. He didn't see a person. He saw a thick, useless, snow globe.
