Ah, yet another moment when a sarcastic font would come in handy.
So, someone sold us the complete "Seinfield" series a few weeks ago in its fancy fridge box. Because the package was still factory sealed, someone made the decision not to pull the disks and put them behind the counter, leaving them all sitting in the box (oh, there's going to be finger pointing on that one).
Today, it was stolen. A boxed set priced at a couple hundred dollars. Stolen.
We watched the security cameras and a man walked in, walked up to the counter, picked up the boxed set, made a circuitous route around our front counter, and walked out the front door. A minute later, the register person looked up and said "Where's the fridge?"
Guess what our master thief did next?
He took the boxed set across the street to another store that purchases DVDs where he supplied them with his state issued ID, phone number, and signature.
Genius.
The cops were pretty well waiting for him at his house.
Oh, and we have the fridge back. And the decision to pull the disks was unanimous this time.
