Well, if we can afford to buy him the plane ticket we can try to have him around for it but honestly I think I'd rather have him miss that and be gone for the first like 3 mo than have to go to Iraq for the kids 1st year. Those are our options. If he goes to AK then we could put off Iraq for about a year or so and I'm so not looking forward to another year of Iraq! Damned if we do and damned if we dont!

Not the army...he's a civilian contractor now so technically he won't be leaving the fob which means, as long as there's no freak accidents like chow halls getting blown up we're golden. But I'm not thinking about that yet. Right now I have Alaska on my plate and thats more than enough for me.
