crafting
So. I have decided that I must be doing a good job with my crafts and sewing. I showed Mike a new pattern I am buying and he was all, "that's cool!" No questions of how much or why or anything. It's been like that for a couple of months but it's an impressive thing from the guy who asked me not to get him an anniversary gift because we're about to buy a camera. :P
Also, I told him that Christy and I are going to start an etsy shop. She is an artist and I can do graphics and other things so it's a good match. We're planning to start with waterproof labels. He didn't even blink an eye. Weird.
Eventually we'll probably expand, on my end, to wipes cases with matching bags and changing mats. Later I'll add aprons, I'm sure. Christy can make art that is the same as the art on the labels as well as an assortment of things that always surprised me.
The cool thing about the pattern I bought to make the diaper clutch is that it is cool looking enough that it can be re-purposed for other things. Woo! Now, I haven't made it yet so it may be a while before it's something I sell, kind of like the aprons. But I'll use all of these things I'm making as well as give them as gifts so people can let me know if they are falling apart or good quality.
Phew. Who knows, maybe I can make a real go at this work from home thing.
